Visit the *NEW* Deep Lakes Park Campground – Opening April 15, 2026!

  • The Deep Lakes Campground offers 22 full-hook-up sites that include:
    • 20-30-50-amp electric
    • Water hydrant
    • Septic hook-up

There is also a modern shower house with 4 family style restrooms and firewood available for sale.

The  Deep Lakes Campground is  reservable online using the MyCountyParks.com website.
Campsites must be reserved at least 3-days in advance, if not reserved, sites are available on a first come, first served basis on a nightly (or 2-night) basis. First preference will go to the online reservations.

  • The campground connects to the rest of Deep Lakes Park via the biking/walking path.
  • Things to do when staying at the Deep Lakes Campground
    • Walk or bicycle the 1.25-mile hard-surfaced trail through the park – or connect to the Greater Muscatine Trail System for a longer ride/walk.
    • Fish in one of several lakes/ponds – there is over 120 acres of clear, deep water to explore
    • Paddle the lakes – kayak rentals are available (3-days in advance) by contact the office at 563-264-5922
    • Boating is allowed and there is a ramp on Lake Chester and Jewell Lakes – trolling motors only
    • Coming Soon *Disc Golf Course* – expected to be completed later this summer!
    • Swimming is allowed *ONLY* at the swimming beach on Lake Chester by the main access off Pettibone – you can get there by taking the bike trail!
    • 4 reservable cabins nearby in the park for your friends without a camper!

Campsites have picnic tables, fire rings, and on-site parking.
**Guests will most likely want to have a 90 degree attachment for their septic hose.

Please help keep our campgrounds beautiful!

  • Clean up your campsite before you leave.
  • Place trash in dumpsters, not in the fire rings.
  • Do not burn trash, pallets, or construction materials containing nails, screws or staples.
  • Do not leave firewood, tree limbs, or scrap wood by the fire rings or in campsite areas.
