Shelter reservations can be made by calling the office at (563) 264-5922. After your date has been confirmed, send in payment along with the form below to secure your reservation. Rental form and payment are due within 14 days of making the reservation.

Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area

Shelter #1 (Chicken Creek)

This Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area shelter is near the park entrance in the Chicken Creek picnic area. It features seating for 60-80 people, electricity (no lights), upright grill and ground level fire ring, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit and adequate parking. This area also offers bank fishing, a handicapped accessible fishing dock, boat ramp, playground and vault toilets.

Fee to reserve: $25

Shelter #2 (Boat Ramp)

This Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area shelter is near the concrete boat ramp on the Cedar River. It features seating for 60-80 people, electricity (no lights), upright grill and ground level fire ring, horseshoe pit and adjacent parking. Nearby features include a vault toilet and public campgrounds.

Fee to reserve: $25

Two additional shelters, one in the Chicken Creek picnic area and a second near the River campground, are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Discovery Park

Shelter #1

This Discovery Park shelter is near the park entrance. It offers seating for 15-20. Parking is available and a portable toilet is nearby. This shelter is near Discovery Pond and offers access to the trail system in the park.
Fee to reserve: $20

Shelter #2

This Discovery Park shelter is located near the Environmental Learning Center. It features seating for 80-100 people, electricity (no lights), adjacent parking and a modern restroom (water available at the restroom). This shelter has green space for play and access to the trail system in the park.
Fee to reserve: $40

Jack Shuger Memorial Park

Jack Shuger Memorial Park in Moscow offers a large shelter with seating for 50-60 people. Nearby features include a large playground, drinking water, and vault toilets.
