About
Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area has three campgrounds .
- The Main Campground offers 20-30-50-amp electric and is where the shower house and firewood shed is located. The Main Campground is now reservable online using the MyCountyParks.com website. Campsites must be reserved at least 3-days in advance, if not reserved, sites can be reserved on a first come, first served basis on a nightly (or 2-night) basis. First preference will go to the online reservations.
- The River Campground does not have electricity, but offers nearby access to the Cedar River. This campground is first come, first served. To reserve a spot utilize the self-pay kiosk.
- There is also Tent camping in Area A, walk-in sites along Chicken Creek. It is accessed through the Main Campground. This campground is also first come, first served utilizing a self-pay kiosk.
Firewood is available in the main campground for a fee. It can be purchased from a Ranger or the Camp Host. No out-of-state firewood is allowed in MCCB areas.
Campsites have picnic tables, fire rings, and on-site parking. Tent camping only sites (Area A Chicken Creek) do not have on-site parking.

- Primitive, walk-in sites
- Tents only
- Vehicle parking lot in the main campground, not at individual sites
- Limited picnic tables and fire rings
- Restrooms, showers, and firewood available in Main Campground
Please help keep our campground beautiful!
- Clean up your campsite before you leave.
- Place trash in dumpsters, not in the fire rings.
- Do not burn pallets and construction materials containing nails, screws or staples.
- Do not leave firewood, tree limbs, or scrap wood by the fire rings or in mowed areas.
Rules & Regulations
- Area closes at 10:30 pm daily.
- All visitors, not registered as campers, must leave by the closing time.
- Pets must be leashed at all times. Dogs may run at-large in public hunting areas in the Saulsbury Bridge Recreation Area.
